I have been approached to take on a client who serves in the armed forces to complete their tax return.
I have no problem with the rental side of the tax return, but I struggling to find what the current rate of expenses they can claim for food taken in the Mess.
They live on the base Monday to Friday, so they are away from their home during the week
Does anyone know if it is a set fee for each time they eat there or is it for the day’s meals.
Whilst, I might expect receipts, I am not sure if they are given them
Any help much appreciated
